Disclosure: I received this complimentary product through the Homeschool Review Crew. I was not paid to write this review but asked to give an honest critique. I pray it is helpful and beneficial to all who read it!
It can be easy to get in some P.E. activities when we homeschool. The kids can ride bikes, scooters, rollerblades, jump on the trampoline, climb around the swing set or more. But what about days when it’s scorching hot or freezing cold outside? To fight the heat outdoors this summer, I was able to get my kids moving inside with Healthy Habit Trackers by American Coaching Academy!
The Midwest humidity and heat has had some intense days this summer! And I find my kids sitting around watching tv in free time rather than being outside. I was thrilled and able to feel better about being inside so much when I received the Healthy Habits Trackers as part of the Homeschool Review Crew! It came at a great time 🙂
Homeschool physical education has never been a structured time in our home. I usually allow the kids to just go play…and let them decide what that looks like. As long as they’re off devices and doing something together, I qualify it as P.E.
But sometimes structure is good for kids fitness! I found that my kids enjoyed the challenge of doing the workouts by Healthy Habit Trackers. We incentivized the tracker sheets with smoothies for every 5 days completed (by ALL 4 of the kids!), and that really kept them on task! But even the tracking sheets alone were fun for them to mark off!
Here’s a quick look at all the challenge sheets you receive:
The Healthy Habits Trackers are 12 monthly challenges you can use all year long! We chose to focus our month on the 30-Day Boot Camp Challenge and loved it! My kids are ages 14, 12, 9, and 7, and they ALL found it difficult at first. They just haven’t had a structured workout routine like this before! But by day 5, I could see they were each finding the exercises a bit easier to accomplish and finishing them faster.
By about day 10, the exercises became easy enough that I started challenging them to do 2 circuits per exercise. They didn’t like that at first 🙂 because it was hard again, but it only took a couple days before they started racing each other to see who could finish both circuits first!
We are almost done with our first challenge and are looking at completing the 30-Day Healthy Body Challenge AND Kindness Challenge at the same time!
It was super easy to receive the 12 monthly challenges too, it was a simple PDF file that you can download immediately after purchase. Then, you can print them all off at once, or just the one you want to try first.
Each of the 12 monthly challenges are unique, bringing variety to physical education throughout the year. I liked that I had lots of options to choose from and the trackers themselves were colorful and fun to use!
Our family is still enjoying the Healthy Habit Trackers and we plan to for many months to come! Many other families have used these trackers too, so be sure to check out their reviews by clicking on the banner below!
Have fun and stay healthy! 🙂 God Bless!!
